'Fraid not...

So, just for the sake of tearing Dark Bootie to pieces... everything you listed there would obliterate the game. Mounts would grant extra damage, mounts would be faster, mounts would grant new abilities, mounts would grant extra storage... in a word, someone on horseback would be better than someone who wasn't. So being mounted actually becomes a necessity to be "good" in the eyes of the perfection-obsessed PvP community. This is why mounts shouldn't be implemented, no matter what negatives Arena would try to come up with, speed increase alone would make them a requirement. But wait... balance! Just make them cost a lot! So now you have to farm to maintain your horse, which is needed to achieve your full potential. Grind grind grind! Hours of fun!

Honestly, just do what I'm planning on doing. Buy Nintendogs. They're better than horses, anyway.

Not quite sure what you were trying to search for with that link, but it didn't work.

No. I think not. Pets are unneccessary, only add complexity to the game in an area that does not need more complexity, and might make for balance issues. Can you take your pet to PvP and GvG? Can you ride someone down with it? Those would be seriously unbalancing issues to deal with.
actually i was thinkin you can bring them in pvp nor gvg that wuld be unfair
i love complexity
if u dont want complexity, then play some mario
im not tryng to be mean
but mmorpgs were meant to be very........wats tha word?......hmmmm... oh ya i remember now.
mmorpgs were meant to be interactive
VERY interactive
as for the gigapet thing.......wtf?
gigapets? in......a D&D type game?
it just doesnt go well
horses would be mainly for transportation so mostly used out in mission areas
and you would have cloth on the sides of it to represent ur guild
u could even get a frien on ur horse
i think its one of the best ideas and if they pull it oof i will be so freaking greatfull!
and wat does having a horse have to do with time played?
and how could u run someone down with it
character models go right thru each other!
and in a mission you wuld be on a team.
besides you dont really seem very trustworthy of this games ability to make it in the gameworld
are you even happy that its NOT A MONTHLY FEE!??!?<question mark>

IF BIG IF thier ever were horses they should only be for those that use charm animal. That way their would be a balance. You lose a skill slot and have to keep it alive or suffer the DP. That makes 2 skill slots lost.

Or maybe you could charm the mount that the dwarf rides. That would be cool.

dude if they add an option to kik people out of ur group, then if people with horses are arses, theyll get kiked.
and also they could make it to where you can only have them if ur by urself
it doesnt make exploring to easy
you cant just go around the level with a horse and know where everything is at
if by explore you mean finding out where certain treasures can be found, then no ur wrong youd have to get off ur horse to do most things
they wont really go faster than running but i would love to have one
its like a guild cape
you dont need one
but u like it yes?
it is an accessory!
and it makes you look kool!
it doesnt make you a good player!
it makes you look different!
horses CAN be implemented in game w/out having serious problems!
u just gotta twaek it!

YES!
but if u charmed it, you could sell or trade it
and if say a warrior bought one, it would also take it from him or some thing of equivalence!

Sorry for going off the hook on you, truly sorry. It's just that lax grammar and spelling makes my face explode and my arse spout flames, I know I shouldn't let that get in the way of things, but I'm not the greatest at keeping my temper in check. So again, sorry if I sounded out of order. Anyone who plays Guild Wars is a friend, to me!

That aside, simply adding horses for travel is borderline unbalancing. Part of the missions and explorable areas is simply wading through beasts and surviving. If you can buy a mount and simply move faster than they can, you've already won. Any sense of challenge and achievement goes out of the window. The only way to counterbalance this would be to boost monsters to the point that they kill players on mounts, by dealing more damage from a greater range, or moving faster. Yet that gives non-mounted players an even greater disadvantage. Introducing mounts to the equation adds a whole slew of balancing problems. That's why I can't see it on the cards at any time in the future.

Yes but you can't trade a charmed animal. And if a warrior wanted one he would have to have R as his secondary and go get his own. And lose the 2 skill slots to keep it.

ty for clearing that up
and in the issue
maybe you wont be able to use them on missions?
maybe they cant go somwhere that you havent and wen u try to make them go into unknown territorry, they will kik their front feet and such and wont move?
so in order to get to lions arch, you would have to have been there!

sorry for my spelling and such but im rushing and im listening to BANANA PHONE
lol im in a guild called the poopie bananas!

hmmm i said u could take something of equivalence from a warrior like some of his spells and/ or armor points

and yes i know you cant sell pets but they can make it to where u can sell horses! i mean u could make a living taming and selling horses! but one at a time.
you wouldnt need an r as secondary but it would cost ytou

and also ive seen you in ascalon before drizzzt
lol i just had to get that out

Ah but we as real live people can have a discusion about things we like and dislike. I would like to be filthy rich. Maybe it will happen. But in the meantime I play the game because I like it. And noone has to be of the same opinion. Should we not be able to make a suggestion without getting our heads cut off like Prince Rurik did.

And though the DEVS have made thier decision or not it is cool to dream.

I belive mounts should not be in the game as a high-leveled item, but rather used in certain missions, such as chase missions, or running missions, and you should get dismounted after a major hit (or be able to cast on-horse)

Mounts? Come on people. Have you actually played the game? What possible point could mounts serve or ever serve? Dream your little dream of your uber mounts and your ultra cool pwnage all you want. But dream them elsewhere. Around here we talk about the game we're actually going to play.

Locked.
